SPEAKER

Fritha Ford, Senior Associate at Walkers

Advocate Fritha Ford is a Senior Associate in Walkers' Jersey team, specialising in trusts-related disputes. She has more than a decade's experience as an offshore disputes specialist advising trustees, beneficiaries and protectors on all matters of Jersey trust law and regularly appears before the Royal Court.

Fritha is frequently instructed to provide Jersey trust law advice in the context of high net worth divorces and also advises on disputes with a cross-border element including, in the last 12 months, disputes about Jersey-law governed trusts with assets in Monaco, Bermuda, India and Russia.

She worked extensively on the Alhamrani litigation which ran from 2003 to 2009, which is thought to be the largest ever heard before the Jersey courts.

Besides trusts matters, Fritha's practice encompasses all aspects of commercial litigation, including insolvency, contractual disputes and negligence claims.

Fritha qualified as a Barrister before moving offshore, and studied in London, Scotland and Sweden.
