Rory Gordon

Rory is ICAEW Programme Manager & Tutor

Rory is a chartered accountant who has a background in audit and technical financial reporting advisory.

He has 10 years’ experience in practice managing engagements across a variety of industries but specialising in financial services including listed and unlisted property funds, debt funds, venture capital, equities funds, administrators, managers, and associated compliance engagements.

Throughout his time in practice Rory developed an in-depth knowledge of IFRS and International Auditing Standards including interpretation and application to unusual scenarios.

He started his career in Jersey before moving to Australia working on entities based in a number of jurisdictions including Jersey, Guernsey, UK, Australia, New Zealand, China, Chile and Namibia.

When in Australia, Rory’s role also included responsibilities for developing training materials, conducting internal training and presenting to clients on technical financial reporting issues. This is where he developed a passion for teaching and then decided to make the switch to become a full-time tutor.
